Friday 8th, we were delighted to welcome Aaron from Rocksteady to school. The children had a fantastic time taking part in an exciting rock concert, singing and dancing along to a range of popular pop and rock songs. Aaron introduced the children to the different instruments used in a rock band, including the electric guitar, bass guitar, drum kit, keyboard and microphone, explaining how each instrument contributes to the overall sound. We even built our own teacher band with Mr Smith, Mrs Whiehurst and Miss Kershaw to show how easy it can be to learn! Children who are interested in learning an instrument can sign up for weekly Rocksteady lessons using the QR code on the leaflet brought home this evening. Lessons take place every Wednesday and there is a monthly charge. All payments and registrations are managed directly through the Rocksteady website. Places are limited in out existing bands so please sign up as soon as possible!
