Writer Of The Week
This week's writer of the week is Kaiden in Year 2 for his fantastic diary entry, writing in role as Bob - the main character in Man on the moon by Simon Bartram. Kaiden has used a fantastic authorial voice to get into character, as well as exclamation sentences, precise verbs and time adverbials and conjunctions to support cohesion. Well done Kaiden!

Music Performances
Well done to all the children in Year 2 and Year 3 for your incredible instrument concerts over the last two weeks. You have done amazingly this year and your hard work was really seen during the performances.!
Year 4's concert, featuring the children in Year 5 and 6 children who work with Miss Churchill, will be on Tuesday at 9am, followed by Rocksteady's music concert on Wednesday at 9am. Please note that the Rocksteady is a ticketed event, limited to 2 tickets per child, and these tickets are available from the office.

Young Voices 2027
Mr Smith is very excited to announce that we have received the music book for our 2027 Young Voices concert. There are some brilliant songs this year and we will be very excited to share more with Years 3-6 in September!
Online Safety for Parents
Each week, we are aiming to provide you with information to help keep your children safe when online. This links to the Online Safety mind maps the children complete with their class teachers at the start of each half term.
Under 16 Online Safety Restrictions
The Government has signalled plans to introduce stronger online safety measures for children, including potential restrictions on under‑16s accessing certain social media and online platforms by 2027. While details are still being finalised, the aim is to better protect young people from harmful content, cyberbullying, and privacy risks. We encourage parents to continue having regular conversations with their children about safe and responsible online behaviour, use parental controls where appropriate, and stay informed as further guidance becomes available.
